Our Review Process

Every product and service featured on MegaStore76 goes through the same research process before it earns a spot on the site — whether or not we end up recommending it. Here’s exactly how we put a review together.

1. We Research Before We Recommend

For every product or service we cover, we dig into the manufacturer or provider’s own official specs and claims, then cross-check them against independent customer reviews on Trustpilot, app stores, and other public review platforms, plus any coverage from other tech and consumer publications. We’re upfront when a review is based on this kind of thorough desk research rather than us having physically tested the product ourselves — we’d rather be honest about that than pretend otherwise.

2. We Look for the Complaints, Not Just the Highlights

A product’s own marketing page is never the full picture. Before we publish, we specifically search out negative and mixed reviews — shipping problems, quality complaints, customer service issues, red flags around company ownership or business practices. When a product has genuine, recurring concerns raised by real customers, we include a dedicated section covering them honestly rather than burying them or leaving them out. If the concerns are serious enough (extremely poor aggregate ratings, evidence of deceptive practices, security or scam reports), we won’t publish a positive review at all — we’ve turned down products entirely on this basis.

3. Affiliate Relationships Don’t Decide What We Recommend

MegaStore76 earns commission when readers buy through some of our links — see our Divulgation des affiliés for the full detail. That relationship never determines which products we cover or how favorably we write about them. We’ve declined to promote products entirely, even ones with active affiliate programs available, when our research turned up practices we weren’t comfortable recommending to readers.

4. We Keep Content Current

Products change, prices change, and companies get acquired or rebrand. We periodically revisit older reviews to fix outdated information, correct anything that’s changed, and update our recommendations if a product’s quality or reputation has shifted since we first covered it.
