Daily Manna: the daily Bible word puzzle, as an app you own
Daily Manna is a daily Bible word puzzle. Each day shows one King James verse with one word missing, and you have six guesses to find it. When you finish, the verse fills in with its reference and one sentence of teaching to take into your day, and you can share a spoiler-free grid of coloured squares. You buy it once and receive an Android app that plays with no internet connection, and the web version to put on your own church website. You can play today's puzzle free on this website before you buy.
What Daily Manna does
Word puzzles are quick and fun. Daily Manna adds one thing: when you finish, you are left holding a verse of Scripture and a single sentence about what it means. It takes about two minutes, and over a year that adds up to a lot of the Bible in your memory.
Everyone playing on the same version gets the same verse on the same day, which makes it a natural thing to share in a family, youth or church group. You can play today's puzzle free on this website. Buying gives you your own copy: an Android app for your phone and the web files to run on your own church website.
Who it is for
- Churches and youth groups who want a shared daily habit for their people, on the church's own website.
- Individuals and families who like a daily puzzle and want it on their phone without adverts.
- Pastors who want a gentle way to put a verse in front of people every day.
Who it is not for
- Anyone who needs a different translation: every puzzle uses the King James Version.
- Anyone who wants to write and schedule their own puzzles: the package ships with a fixed set of puzzles and has no puzzle editor.
- Anyone who wants a leaderboard or accounts: stats are kept on your own device and nothing is uploaded.
How the puzzle works
One verse, one missing word, six guesses.
See the verse
Today's verse appears with one word hidden. A row of blanks shows how many letters the word has.
Type a guess
Type a word of the right length and press Guess. Each letter turns green if it is in the right place, yellow if it is in the word but in the wrong place, and grey if it is not in the word.
Find the word
Use the colours to narrow it down. You have six guesses, and the app tells you how many are left.
Keep what you learned
When you solve it, or run out of guesses, the verse fills in with its reference and one sentence of teaching. Share result copies a grid of squares that does not give the answer away.
The word can be anywhere from a short word to a long one. The number of blanks tells you the length, so the puzzle is not always five letters.
Features
This is what the game does today. Nothing here is a roadmap item.
A new verse every day
There is a puzzle for each day for just over a year, starting on 1 November 2026. After the last one the puzzles start again from the beginning, so the game never stops working.
Six guesses with colour feedback
Green, yellow and grey tiles show you how close each guess is. The game accepts any letters of the right length and does not check guesses against a word list.
A line of teaching
After each puzzle you see the whole verse, its reference and one sentence of plain, non-denominational teaching.
Share without spoilers
Share result copies a grid of coloured squares showing how you did, made for pasting into WhatsApp, Facebook or a text message.
Stats and streaks
A record screen shows games played, win percentage, current streak, best streak and a bar chart of how many guesses you usually need. It is kept on your own device.
Read the chapter
A link on the result opens the chapter in the Megastore76 Devotional Bible.
The King James Version
Every verse is from the King James Version, which is in the public domain.
Works on phone and computer
The Android app plays with no internet connection. The web version works in any modern browser and can be installed as an app.

Walkthrough: from the blank to the teaching
These are real screenshots of the game. It is the same game you receive, and you can play it for free on this website.
1The puzzle
Today's verse with one word hidden. The blanks show the letter count, and the grid below holds your six guesses.

2Guess and read the colours
Each guess colours its tiles. A wrong guess turns grey. Letters that are in the word but in the wrong place turn yellow, and correct places turn green. The app shows how many guesses are left.

3Solved: the verse and the teaching
The completed verse, its reference and one sentence of teaching, with buttons to share your result or read the chapter.

4Your record
Games played, win rate, current and best streak, and how many guesses you needed.

Install and set up
The download contains the Android app and the web version of the game. Use whichever suits you.
What you need
- For Android: a phone or tablet, and permission to install an app from a file
- For the web version: a web host, or Node.js to run it on your own computer
- Nothing else: there is no account, database or build step
To put it on a church website
- Upload everything in the Web-App folder to your host (you can leave out the start and serve files)
- Serve it over https so that the install and offline features work
- Share the link: everyone on your site plays the same verse each day
Unzip the download
It contains an Android folder, a Web-App folder and a short guide.
Android
Copy the APK file to your phone, tap it and allow installation from that source, then open Daily Manna. It plays with no internet connection.
On your computer
Install Node.js once, open the Web-App folder and double-click the start file. The game opens in your browser.
On your church website
Upload the contents of the Web-App folder to your host, in the main folder or a subfolder.

Limits and honest notes
Better you know before you buy. These come from using the game.
- The puzzles are a fixed set. There is one for each day for just over a year from 1 November 2026, and then they repeat from the start. There is no puzzle editor in the package.
- It does not check your guesses against a word list. Any letters of the right length are accepted as a guess.
- King James Version only. The teaching sentences were written for the game, in plain, non-denominational language.
- Your stats stay on one device. There are no accounts and no leaderboard. Clearing the app's data clears your streak.
- "Read the chapter" needs a connection. It opens the Devotional Bible on megastore76.com. The game itself works offline.
- Shared results include a link to the game. In the Android app and on a computer copy the link points to megastore76.com. On a copy you host on a website, it points to your own address.
- Installing the Android app needs permission to install from a file. It is not installed from an app store.
- The web version needs either a web host or Node.js. It cannot simply be opened by double-clicking its page.
- A licence for one site. You may host it on one site, use it in your church and share the link freely. You may not resell, redistribute or republish the game as your own.
- English only.
