Most QR codes are a one-way bet. You generate one, print it on a menu, a flyer, a product label — and whatever URL you pointed it at is locked in forever. Change your website, run out of stock, or just want to update a promotion? Too bad. You’re reprinting.
QRForge fixes that — and we’ve just listed the full source code on the Megastore76 store.

What it does
QRForge is a working self-hosted QR platform, not a template or a mockup. Every code it generates points at a redirect URL you control, not the destination directly — so the physical code never has to change:
- Create a QR code from any destination URL and get back a scannable image instantly
- Edit the destination anytime after creation — the printed code keeps working, it just sends people somewhere new
- A dashboard showing total codes, active codes, and total scans across everything
- Per-code analytics: a 14-day scan history chart, referrer and device-type breakdowns, and a recent-scans table
- An active/inactive toggle — deactivate a code and scanners see a clean “no longer active” page instead of a broken link
- Downloadable PNG for printing or embedding
It’s privacy-light by design: no IP addresses are ever stored, only referrer and a coarse device category parsed from the scan request.
Why it’s worth a one-time purchase
Most dynamic QR platforms charge $5-60/month for exactly this workflow — generate, redirect, track, edit. QRForge gives you the same core toolkit as a one-time purchase you host yourself, with no recurring bill tied to how many codes you create or scans you get.
What’s inside
- Full TypeScript source code: Next.js, Prisma ORM, Tailwind CSS
- Seeded demo data (4 QR codes, ~90 scan events across two weeks) so the dashboard and analytics look alive immediately
- A README covering setup, moving from SQLite to Postgres for production, and where to add IP-geolocation or custom domains if you want to extend it later
It’s built for small businesses, agencies, and developers who want real “print once, redirect anywhere” QR codes with analytics, without adopting another monthly line item.
