QRForge — Self-Hosted Dynamic QR Code Generator & Scan Analytics (Source Code)

Most QR code tools sell you a static image: once it’s printed, the destination is locked in forever. QRForge is dynamic — the printed code points at a redirect URL you control, so you can change where it sends people at any time without reprinting a single thing, plus you get real scan analytics.

What it does:
– Create a QR code from any destination URL — get back a scannable image pointing at your own short-redirect link, not the destination directly
– Edit the destination URL after creation — the physical/printed code never has to change
– Dashboard with total codes, active codes, and total scans across everything
– Per-code detail page: a 14-day scan history chart, referrer and device-type breakdowns, and a recent-scans table
– Active/inactive toggle — deactivate a code and scanners see a clean “no longer active” page instead of a broken redirect
– Downloadable PNG for printing or embedding
– Privacy-light by design: no IP addresses are ever stored, only referrer and a coarse device category (Mobile/Tablet/Desktop) parsed from the scan request
