Child Planner is a family organiser you host yourself and own outright. It runs on your own machine or your own hosting, against your own Supabase database — there is no subscription and no third party holding your family’s information.
What is in the box
- Overview — for the selected child: what is due next, goals in progress, and live counts of open tasks, homework and goals.
- Planner — tasks and routines grouped into overdue, today, later and undated, with one-tap completion, category filters and delete.
- Education — subjects with teacher and colour, homework filed under them, and a status that moves from not started to in progress to completed.
- Goals & Growth — goals with a category, target date and a progress bar you can move in 10% steps, or mark complete.
- Savings — savings goals per child with deposits and withdrawals, and a total across goals.
- AI Assistant (optional) — chat for routine and activity ideas, given the selected child’s age and interests. Needs your own API key, and is rate limited.
- Multi-child switcher — everything above is scoped to one child at a time.
How your data is protected
Every table has row-level security enabled, and the policies are enforced by PostgreSQL itself rather than by the interface — so a request that reaches the database as the wrong user is refused there, not merely hidden in the browser. Each row is reachable only through the child it belongs to, and each child belongs to one parent.
What you get
The complete source code, the full PostgreSQL schema — 12 tables, row-level security and a policy for each, plus a signup trigger that creates the profile row every account needs — and a README, quick-start guide and commercial licence.
Requirements
Node.js 20 or newer, and a Supabase project — the free tier is enough. The AI Assistant tab is optional and needs your own OpenAI key; everything else works without it.
What it deliberately does not do
So that nothing on the interface promises more than the code delivers: there is no billing or subscription logic, no shared family calendar, no chore reward or allowance system, and no plan or seat limits. If you want any of those, the schema and the UI are a clean base to add them to.

Licence
Commercial source-code licence. Use and modify it for yourself or your own business, run it on your own servers, make backups. Reselling or redistributing the code as a product is not permitted.
