Njangi Book
A simple record book for savings circles (njangi, susu, chama): who has paid, who is next, and where the money stands.
Who it is for
Leaders and treasurers of rotating savings groups who are tired of notebooks, spreadsheets and arguments about who paid what.
What you can do
Rotation and rounds
Set the order members receive the pot, or use a fair draw that can be repeated and checked. Each round shows the pot, what has been collected and what is still missing.
Members and hands
A member can hold more than one hand. Every member gets a statement of what they have paid and what they owe.
Payments, fines and reminders
Record each payment, add a late or absent fine in one tap, and send a prepared reminder on WhatsApp.
Fund, loans and share-out
Track fines, loans with simple interest, and expenses, then work out the share-out by hands at the end of the cycle.
Backup
Save a backup file and restore it on this or another phone. English and French screens.

- Create a group with its currency, contribution and how often you meet.
- Add members and set the rotation.
- Record payments round by round, send reminders, and share out at the end.
Your data and privacy
Njangi Book only keeps records. It never holds or moves money. Your groups are stored on your phone, the app has no internet permission, and nothing is sent anywhere. Because the data lives on the phone, save a backup file now and then.

Questions
Does Njangi Book handle the money?
No. It is a record book only. The money stays with your group.
Which currencies work?
Amounts are kept in whole minor units for each currency, so currencies such as FCFA and others with or without decimals display correctly.
Can I use it in French?
Yes. Switch between English and French at the top of the first screen.
What if I lose my phone?
Records are on the phone only, so keep a backup file somewhere safe. You can restore it on another phone.
