How the World Transport Guide works
- Pick a country, search by name, or tap Use my location.
- Read the country page: quick facts, the UK government's live travel advice, confirmed ride apps, airports and a getting-around guide.
- Follow a country with the star to see its travel advice on this page every time you visit.
- Find your ticket with the finder, which opens the partner's site for live prices.
Where the information comes from
- Ride apps: taken from each company's own website (Uber, Bolt, inDrive, Grab, Lyft). We list an app only when the company lists that country. Where we have no confirmation, we say so instead of guessing.
- Travel advice: read live from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (Open Government Licence v3.0). Other governments' advice can differ.
- Getting-around guides: from Wikivoyage, written by its contributors under CC BY-SA 4.0. Each guide links to its original page and history.
- Airports: OurAirports (public domain). Driving side: Wikidata. Country facts: open country datasets.

Frequently asked questions
What is the World Transport Guide?
A free guide that shows how to get around 249 countries and territories: which ride-hailing apps are confirmed there, the main airports, which side of the road people drive on, the currency, and the UK government's latest travel advice. It also helps you find tickets.
Where does the information come from?
Ride-app lists come from each company’s own website. Airports are from OurAirports (public domain), the road-side data from Wikidata, country facts from open datasets, the getting-around text from Wikivoyage (CC BY-SA), and travel warnings live from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. Each page shows its sources and the date we last checked.
Does it show ticket prices?
No. We never show or store prices, because they change constantly. The ticket finder opens the partner’s own website, where you see live prices and can book.
Do you earn money when I book?
Not yet: the booking buttons are plain links today. If we join a partner’s affiliate programme, we will say so clearly next to those links.
How accurate is it?
We only publish what we can source and we show when it was last checked. Transport changes quickly, so please confirm important details with the operator before you travel. If you spot a mistake, use the contact link and we will fix it.
What does "Use my location" do?
It asks your browser for your position, and your phone works out the nearest main airport and country on your own device. Your position is not sent to us or anyone else.
